The VIN ist stamped on the right suspension dome in the engine bay...

The hide looks like a younger car, the engine looks like it would need some heavy work, first of all I would remove the carbs and have them restored.
The fuel pump gaskets are for sure shot.

How can it run out of gas? Empty tank or is the fuel pump shot?
If you turn the ignition key you can immediately hear the tickering of the fuel pump.

Please check the VIN in the engine bay, it's also written on that aluminium plate you see on the right bottom of the third picture.
