Having a wife BTW, is way more expensive. Now I have two little kids who are the world to me. The family for me is so far ahead in importance as to render luxuries such as exotic cars as laughable.
I was in a position to make owning a 6.0 possible and I bought one. I did not plan on this or had any kind of long term strategy on saving for one. There was just a point in time when I thought I could swing it.
So my position is, worry about the things that are really important. Getting a good education, staying healthy and making a happy family. Everything else is a perk. Fancy things only get you short term happiness. Assess your goals carefully.
