I know I probably am not speaking for the whole group, But this is one of the joys of being a childless couple. One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is popping out too many babies too early. If you can get ahead of the curve early in life, things will have a better chance of going your way financially.
Never live check to check. Always put some money away every month. Once you dig a hole with credit cards or unexpected children (or both) it is VERY hard to get your head above water.
I am far from making a million a year. But I work damn hard for my money. I have been at the same job for nearly 15 years. Same career for 20.
Go to school, kiss a little ass when it is necessary, get a retirement plan, put some money away, live well. Just not beyond your means.
Synystr....

My story is quite like yours. I'm married, no kids (yet). It's a great way to get ahead in life. Anyway, you mentioned that you put a large chunk of money down on your lambo and financed the rest. May I ask what the cost of your lambo was, how much you put down and your monthly payment....

I really want to get a Gallardo. The Gallardo I would get would cost about $180K. What amount would I have to put down to get a $1600 to $1800 per month payment? This is the amount that I can justify with the wife!!!!

Thanks
