Well...keep the champagne in the fridge for now...
There is actually sand and metal particules all over the lower part of the engine. The crankshaft has to be re-machined, balanced and re-aligned, all bearings have to be changed, and we now have to check and measure everything we possibly can measure on the cylinders and pistons.
Looking at the bright side of this mess, except the crankshaft, the pistons and a few other minor elements of the engine, everything is fine !

...I love this car !
Pumps, cylinder heads, springs, valves, carbs, etc have been checked, cleaned and are back to a as-new condition...Another few months, and some more big $$, and this thing will be running like a Swiss watch
Hopefully, I'll be back from Houston before it snows again in Europe...
