The article was about two completely different takes on a V10 powered car, not an attempt to say they were similar cars.
On the same theme, a recent German mag compared Gallardo, M6 and Viper. The Lambo beat the pants off the other two in accel and lap times, of course, though the M6 had better terminal speed.
I would rather have my G car, with a pathetic 192mph, than a BMW uber saloon with a theoretical 205mph (if it didn't run out of road first). A point pretty much made by the EVO article.
A 500hp 5 series is still just a 5 series. A Gallardo is a thing of rare beauty and a genuine raging bull. A fast german saloon (sedan), no matter how powerful, is just a fat business man's taxi.
