I'm not keen on the Ford GT.
They are built under the supervision of Saleen, who recently fired several people over QC issues...but that's not why I'd avoid them;
There's no historical data on what a newly released version of an old classic will do on the resale market.
At $139K, I'd consider one. At $220K, I'd have to be Bill Gates rich to squander $100K at the time of purchase.
Plus, when it's all said and done, its' still a Ford...one with NO racing heritage (yes, I'm well aware of the original cars' racing lineage, but this car has yet to be proven on a track) and if no other reason, I just wouldn't be comfortable telling people "I drive a Ford GT," which I'm sure begets this reply, "Oh, I use to have a Mustang, too."
